Modular draws talent with both
boutique-y and big agency experience. But because we don't employ any of them full time, we're free to pull in the best advertising and marketing minds for your project from anywhere in the world, which we like to think of as our creative oyster. And we love oysters.
WHAT'S YOUR PHILOSOPHY (IF YOU HAVE ONE).
It's not really a philosophy: more like a driving ethos based on years of experience. We know that writers and designers can fall in love with their own work. (Dunno, maybe you've experienced that, too?) At Modular, our work is smart and creative and always tailored to a client's business strategy.
HOW DO YOU WORK WITH CLIENTS?
We're hard-core collaborators. We know our business, you know yours (though getting to know yours is part of the fun for us). We love working with decision-makers and finding perfect solutions together and will never try to sell you on something we know you don't want or need.
WHAT ABOUT COST? Good question. Nobody likes to be charged for things they didn't buy. That's why Modular's fees are fair, and unpadded. (Let's put it this way: we won't be inviting you over for Guacamole and Sangria Fridays.) Of course, if you like being pampered like a pasha by your agency, well go ahead and hire those guys. It's your money.
WE'RE A BIG COMPANY. WHY SHOULD WE HIRE YOU? Some projects call for a lighter touch. Especially internal ones. Design, video work, brand explorations, corporate communications. For those things, which tend not to be revenue generators, you really want a team that's hands-on and not constantly watching the clock.
WE'RE A SMALL COMPANY. WHY SHOULD WE HIRE YOU? Small and mid-size companies rarely have time to be thinking globally about their marketing efforts: they're too busy making the donuts. Nor can they afford the trappings of big agencies, At Modular, we respect the hard work of the entrepreneur who's just trying to grow their business, and we want to help.
WE'RE A NONPROFIT. WHY SHOULD WE HIRE YOU? We modulars have deep experience in the nonprofit sector. And here's the thing we know above all: when it comes to marketing, nonprofits have to think and act like forprofits. It's still about telling your story
and making your case: to constituents, to funders, to all stakeholders.
ANY FINAL WORDS? Of the billions of published words devoted to the future of the ad agency or consumer interaction with apps, little is said about the nature of the client/agency relationship. We don't sell work at our clients. Instead, Modular works with our clients to produce only the work they need, on time and on budget. Period.
